Seattle is a beautiful and friendly city with so much to offer its visitors. Make sure you visit Pikes Peak Market and take a ride to the top of the Space Needle for a birds eye view of the city. Whilst in the Emerald City you may choose to wander Pioneer Square, Seattle’s original downtown; enjoy a cruise along the waterfront and take a walk through the historic district.

Today you’ll collect your car and leave the bustle of the city behind, setting out on a scenic drive toward the Olympic National Forest. This vast expanse of wilderness on Washington’s Olympic Peninsula is known for its towering evergreens, moss-draped rainforests, and crystal-clear rivers. Spanning nearly a million acres, the forest offers countless opportunities to explore, whether hiking through ancient woodlands, spotting wildlife along tranquil lakes, or simply soaking in the peace of nature.

With its glacier-capped peaks, ancient moss-draped forests, and windswept beaches, Olympic National Park is truly one of America’s great natural treasures. The rugged coastline that sweeps around the peninsula is home to remarkable wildlife, including sea otters, sea lions, bald eagles, and nesting seabirds. Your journey continues along the scenic north coast, passing through charming fishing villages before reaching the western side of the peninsula, where your hotel is located in the small coastal community of Kalaloch. Perched high on a bluff overlooking the Pacific, Kalaloch Lodge offers a peaceful retreat just steps from the beach and serves as the perfect base for exploring this spectacular region.

Your next stop is Port Townsend, a charming Victorian seaport perched on the northeastern tip of the Olympic Peninsula. Known for its beautifully preserved architecture, vibrant arts scene, and stunning coastal scenery, this historic town offers plenty to explore during a two-night stay.

Wander through the downtown district lined with galleries, boutiques, and waterfront cafes, or head to nearby Fort Worden Historical State Park, where you’ll find scenic hiking trails, sandy beaches, and the iconic Point Wilson Lighthouse. The marina is the perfect place to join a sailing or whale-watching excursion, while local restaurants serve fresh seafood paired with sweeping views of the Salish Sea.

Today you will make your way to the Port Townsend Ferry Terminal, where you’ll board the ferry with your car and cross Admiralty Inlet to Whidbey Island, where you’ll spend the next two nights of your adventure.

Whidbey Island, the largest island in Puget Sound, is known for its charming small towns, rolling farmland, and scenic coastline. During your stay, you can explore quaint communities like Langley and Coupeville, visit the historic Ebey’s Landing National Historical Reserve, enjoy local wineries and artisan shops, or take in panoramic views from the island’s beaches and bluffs.

Surrounded by the stunning peaks of the North Cascades, Winthrop offers a wide range of outdoor activities, from hiking and mountain biking in the summer to cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in the winter.
