This delightful short break combines the vibrant energy of Seattle with the tranquil beauty of Whidbey Island and the rustic charm of Winthrop. Experience the city’s iconic landmarks, lively markets, and cultural attractions before escaping to Whidbey Island’s scenic coastline, quaint towns, and rolling countryside.
This holiday package includes:
Depart the UK on your chosen scheduled flight to Seattle Tacoma International Airport. Upon arrival, independently make your way to the Kimpton Hotel Monaco, where you are based for the first two nights of your trip.
Seattle is a vibrant and welcoming city brimming with attractions for visitors. Don’t miss exploring Pike Place Market and heading up the Space Needle for sweeping views over the city. While in the Emerald City, consider strolling through Pioneer Square, the city’s historic heart, enjoying a scenic waterfront cruise, and wandering the charming streets of the historic district.
To reach Whidbey Island, you have two options: a scenic drive of about an hour from Seattle, or a ferry crossing from Mukilteo. Both routes offer spectacular views of Washington’s forests, waterways, and coastline, making the journey as enjoyable as the destination.
Once on Whidbey Island, you can explore its charming small towns, rolling farmland, and rugged coastline. Highlights include quaint communities with artisan shops and cafés, scenic beaches, hiking trails, and opportunities to visit local farms, wineries, and parks.
Your final stop is Winthrop, a picturesque town in Washington’s Methow Valley known for its Old West–style storefronts and welcoming small-town charm. Surrounded by the dramatic peaks of the North Cascades, Winthrop is an ideal base for outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, and exploring the scenic valley. On clear days, you can even catch distant views of Mount Rainier, adding a spectacular backdrop to your stay in this charming alpine town.
This morning you may have some free time in Winthrop for some final sightseeing or some last minute shopping, before heading back to Seattle, where you’ll return your rental car and check in for your flight back to the UK.
