Depart the UK on your chosen scheduled flight to Ottawa and independently make your way to the Lord Elgin Hotel, your base for the first four nights of this incredible tri-centre experience.
As Canada’s capital, Ottawa is the perfect place to experience some of the country’s best attractions, celebrations and flavours in one welcoming city. With its unique blend of urban and rural beauty, and year-round outdoor activities, the Ottawa region is your base for a further three nights. Ottawa is a compact city where you can enjoy lively urban experiences within a relaxed natural setting. Just beyond the walkable city centre, you’ll find diverse neighbourhoods that exude local vibes. Taste local flavours at Ottawa’s great restaurants, find treasures at independently owned boutiques, visit a local coffee roaster or cool off with a locally-made frozen treat – all while admiring urban art along the way.
Today, you will collect your rental car and head toward Huntsville, your base for the next three nights. Along the way, consider driving through scenic rural villages and stopping at Muskoka Pioneer Village. Huntsville sits on the edge of Algonquin National Park, offering a stunning setting and a wide array of recreational activities, from hiking the park’s trails and waterways to enjoying golf, tennis, or horse riding at your hotel. During your stay, plan a day trip to the Muskoka Lakes region, just over an hour’s drive from Deerhurst Resort, to take in the natural beauty and charming lakeside scenery.
Today you will make the 1o0 mile journey to the beautiful Blue Mountain region, which is nestled close to the shores of Georgian Bay. Perhaps make a stop at the village of Saint Jacobs, which is known for its quaint shops filled with local crafts. The incredible Blue Mountains and the Westin Trillium House will be your base for your final three nights. Your hotel sits close to the shores of the majestic Georgian Bay, where a myriad of water activities can be enjoyed. There are also hiking and biking trails surrounding the resort.
The final leg of this beautiful journey is Kingston, a historic city at the meeting point of Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence and Cataraqui Rivers, known as the gateway to the Thousand Islands. With its striking limestone architecture, lively markets, and charming waterfront, Kingston is the perfect base to explore the over 1,800 islands, from iconic castles like Boldt and Singer to tranquil natural retreats.
Today you will the journey back to Ottawa International Airport where you will return your rental car and check-in for your evening flight back to the UK.
