Depart the UK on your chosen scheduled flight to San Francisco. Upon arrival, collect your rental car and proceed to your hotel at Union Square.

From the crooked street in the world, Lombard Street, to Alcatraz and Fisherman’s Wharf; Union Square to the Cable Cars; Chinatown to the Golden Gate Bridge – the city is packed with things to see and do to suit everyone.

This morning you will be driving out of the city and heading for the wine region of Napa Valley. Widely considered one of the best wine regions in the US, Napa boasts more than 400 wineries. During your two-night stay in Napa, you will have a chance to partake in wine tasting sessions at a variety of different wineries or maybe take a trip on the Napa Valley Wine Train. Your hotel in Napa, the River Terrace Inn, is located on the banks of the Napa River and offers an idyllic setting for a relaxing stay.

Today you take a drive to South Lake Tahoe where you will spend the next three nights. Truly a year-round destination, this beautiful jewel in the mountains offers so much to do no matter what the weather. Lake Tahoe activities are limitless. In Spring and Fall, Lake Tahoe activities include perfect fishing and scenic Tahoe golf courses. Summer offers family fun time with mountain biking trips, horseback riding, fishing, swimming, water sports, and golf courses.

Today, you visit one of the most recognisable National Parks in North America, Yosemite. Comprising over 1,189 square miles of scenic wildlands and ranging from 2,000 feet above sea level to over 13,000 feet. The park is home to alpine meadows, mountain forests, lakes, waterfalls, abundant wildlife and a grove of giant sequoias. Spend a couple of days here exploring this iconic National Park.

After breakfast, you are back on the road and heading to Sequoia National Park located in the southern Sierra Nevada. Although you are only here for one night there are countless points of interest to explore: Majestic giant sequoias and redwoods, soaring Sierra spires, and North America’s deepest canyons. There are more than 800 miles of hiking trails ranging from easy to strenuous, so don’t forget your hiking boots.

Today you will head back to the coast for a day/evening in Pismo Beach. Soak up the sun on the beach or partake in the many water sports available including surfing, sea kayaking, boating, and fishing. While you are here we highly recommend you also make time to explore San Luis Obispo and Morro Bay. If you don’t have time, you could always stop off on your way to Monterey tomorrow.

Your final two nights on this incredible journey will be spent in Monterey. Kayaking, scuba diving, surfing, whale watching, and beach-going are just some of the activities to be enjoyed in and around Monterey. Golf, shopping, and driving the spectacular coastline to Big Sur are a few of the many land-based adventures.
