This incredible guided tour from Anchorage, through the heart of Alaska, the Yukon Territory, British Columbia, and the North Cascades of the USA is sure to stand out as one of the great rides of your life. It is also your chance to be among the first people in the world to experience these roads on a 2023 Harley-Davidson Pan America adventure bike. Space on this fully guided tour experience is limited to just 10 bikes and it will sell out quickly, so grab your spouse, riding partners, or just ride solo, but whatever you do, don’t miss the opportunity to ride the last great frontier of North America on a motorcycle that was built with exactly this sort of adventure in mind.

Itinerary

Depart the UK on your chosen scheduled flight to Anchorage, Alaska. Upon arrival, independently make your way to your hotel, where you spend the first night of your adventure.

Accommodation

230 Miles / 370 Kilometres

Take some time to see the sights around Anchorage as you dont meet your fellow travellers until later. If you can make the time, take the Grizzly Bear tour to Kodiak or one of the day glacier cruises out of Anchorage. Later, meet your professional guide team at an orientation and hosted welcome dinner. Get ready for an adventure that will exceed your wildest expectations!

150 Miles / 241 Kilometres

This morning you will jump on your H-D Pan America adventure bike and start the tour with a ride to one of the most iconic destinations in Alaska, Denali National Park and her peak that rises to an elevation of 20,300 feet. It will be hard to believe, but it only gets better from here!

260 Miles / 418 Kilometres

You will get an early start today and enjoy the ride to Fairbanks. Based on availability, you may have the opportunity to take a flight over the Arctic Circle. This journey stops in the remote town of Cold Foot where you can receive a special certificate for having travelled north of the Arctic Circle. Time permitting, you may have time to take in the famous Fairbanks Salmon Bake. No worries if you don’t make that part, as your stop tomorrow sits along a river that is famous for producing some of the best tasting salmon in the world.

259 Miles / 417 Kilometres

Today you start the more remote part of the ride as you cut a path between the Alaskan Range. One of the favorite stops today is in Delta Junction for group and individual photos at the mile marker that will officially mark the start of your journey south on the famous Alaskan Highway, or ALCAN Highway, as Alaska and Yukon locals call it. From Delta Junction, it’s a beautiful ride into Copper Center for the night. This important hub sits on the banks of the famous Copper River, known for its Copper River Salmon.

270 Miles / 434 Kilometres

Get read to ride one of the most remote stretches of paved road in Alaska, the Tok Highway, which offers incredible views of the Wrangle St. Elias Mountains and long stretches between small towns. You will leave Alaska today and cross into Canada’s famous Yukon Territory, a true frontier wilderness dotted with remote towns, villages, and homesteads.

This is the most remote ride of the tour, with very few towns, but the riding and scenery are some of the best. You will pass through the lands of the Champagne and Aishihik First Nations, with some amazing lake and mountain vistas. Days like this are why you joined this tour, to be on a motorcycle and riding in the heart of one of the last true frontiers.

277 Miles / 446 Kilometres

You’ve done a lot of riding up to this point, and still have a lot to cover, so take some time to enjoy historic Whitehorse. Visit the Yukon Beringia Interpretive Center and the Klondike SS Klondike Ferry & Museum to get a real sense of the First Nations and gold rush history of this region. If the weather is cooperating, which is usually is this time of year, there will be an optional day ride to waterfront town of Skagway, Alaska, known for its historic small town, scenic railway, glaciers, and more.

319 Miles / 513 Kilometres

You start with a crossing of the Yukon River. This River served as the main source for getting the stampeders and miners into the goldfields of the Klondike, as well as getting them out once they were flush with gold. Next up, a stunning ride along the shores of the 75-mile long Teslin Lake and crossing the Continental Divide and finishing your day in Watson Lake.

237 Miles / 381 Kilometres

Your second longest leg of the tour still offers plenty to do and see. It kicks off with a ride along the Laird River and the famous hot springs. There may even be time for a quick dip in the hot springs before riding along the length of the stunning Lake Muncho and enjoying the stunning valley and mountain vistas of the most northern stretch of the Canadian Rockies. You have left the Yukon Territory and have started your British Columbia journey today.

271 Miles / 436 Kilometres

It gets a little difficult to find new adjectives to describe each day’s riding, but there’s a reason; this is truly one of the most beautiful places in the world to be on two-wheels. It’s also pretty cool to roll through towns with names like Trutch, Bucking Horse, and Sikanni Chief. The towns are still far enough apart in this northern region of B.C. that you’d swear it was still the 1890’s if you weren’t riding a 2023 Pan America. You are inching closer to real civilization each day, but the riding is no less spectacular. You finish today in Fort. St. John, a town that sprung up as a trading post between early pioneers and the local population.

325 Miles / 523 Kilometres

Today’s highlight, aside from the awesome scenery, is Dawson Creek and the end of your journey on the ALCAN Highway. You will roll into Prince George through the mountain roads of Pine Le Moray Provincial Park.

317 Miles / 510 Kilometres

This stretch of road is lined with lakes around every other bend, and rich with historic road houses from the time of the Cariboo gold rush. You will have lunch in Williams Lake, known for their log home construction and large logging industry, not to mention some incredible scenery. Much of the riding today is along the Fraser River, offering canyon views and great winding roads. Kamloops is a popular mountain destination with plenty of great restaurants and bars.

235 Miles / 378 Kilometres

After a beautiful ride down the hill from Kamloops you will grab lunch along the shores of Lake Okanogan before rolling through the many vineyards of Canada’s wine country. Next is a border crossing into the US and fun, scenic ride up to the small western-themed town of Winthrop, Washington. It’s a bit old west meets new west, as historic buildings along Main Street have turned from saloons and brothels to breweries, coffee shops and restaurants. That said, the views along the river that run through the town are amazing, as are the people, food and drinks.

The ride out of Winthrop takes you through the North Cascades National Park and Scenic Byway, one of the most stunning rides in Washington and the entire Northwest. The winding roads and vibrant blue waters of the glaciated Lake Diablo are hard to describe, so you’ll just have to wait and see for yourself. You ease into Seattle via the backroads of Highway 9, riding through tulip fields and farmland as long as you can, before the Space Needle and city of Seattle start to appear in the distance. Tonight, it’s a farewell celebration at landmark restaurant, with a chance to say goodbye for now to your new family of riders, and even start planning next year’s ride.

You may choose to stay on in Seattle for more sightseeing or a tour. Otherwise, you make your way to Seattle Sea-Tac Airport and check in for your flight back to the UK.
