A fabulous twin-centre holiday that hits all the right notes and is perfect for any music lover. We have included 4 nights in both Memphis and Nashville, giving you ample time to explore all the top attractions in both cities. This holiday also includes:
Depart the UK on your chosen scheduled flight to Memphis International Airport. Upon arrival, independently make your way to the Peabody Hotel located in the heart of downtown and just a short stroll from world-famous Beale Street. This is the site of the famous March of the Peabody Ducks, where our feathered friends decend in the lift from their rooftop home to the large water fountain in the lobby. Be sure to be around to witness this spectacular sight.
Immerse yourself in the city renowned as the home of the blues and the birthplace of rock ‘n’ roll. We’ve allowed three full days for you to experience Memphis, with more than 60 unique attractions across the city to choose from. A visit to Elvis Presley’s Graceland and Stax Museum of American Soul Music is a must during your stay.
Downtown Memphis is where you’ll find live music on Beale Street. It is home to over 25 music venues, showcasing entertainment of the highest quality. there are also a good variety of dining establishments in this area, offering the opportunity to sample the famous Memphis soul food.
Be sure to make time to visit the Memphis Rock ‘n’ Soul Museum, Memphis Music Hall of Fame, The Blues Foundation’s Blues Hall of Fame and Sun Studio – the site where Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash and Jerry Lee Lewis got their start.
We have included a Memphis Museum Pass to get you started, however we have a wide range of city tours and experiences you may wish to add to your package.
Today you will collect your rental car and make the journey over to one of the most musical cities in the USA – Nashville! The next four days are yours at leisure in one of the most vibrant cities in the Deep South. Known as the home of country music, explore some of the myriad of musical attractions such as the Country Music Hall of Fame, Johnny Cash Museum or the Rhyman Theatre, before sampling some live music in one of the many honky tonks on Lower Broadway, known locally as the Honky Tonk Highway. Although music plays a huge part in Nashville’s culture, there is much more to explore in the city and we recommend a visit to one of the many museums or galleries in downtown Nashville.
Over the next four days, you can also discover the spots that make Nashville the culinary destination it is today, including chef-driven restaurants and classic dining spots serving up hot chicken and barbecue.
We have included a three day Nashville Attractions Pass, which includes access to some of the must-see museums. Take a look at our other sightseeing options, including guided food and distillery tours, culture and history tours and even ghost walks. Any of which can be added into your package.
It is just a short drive back to Nashville International Airport, where you return your rental car at the airport and check in for your flight back to the UK. Depending on your flight time you may have time for some last-minute sightseeing or that all-important souvenir shopping.
