Itinerary

Depart the UK on your chosen scheduled flight to Halifax, Nova Scotia. Upon arrival, transfer to The Prince George Hotel. This evening, join your travelling companions for a welcome reception and dinner at Citadel, a 19th-century fortress on a hilltop overlooking the city and the harbour. Dinner included.

Accommodation

Drive to the fishing village of Lunenburg this morning, stopping en route in the maritime town of Mahone Bay. Explore Lunenburg your way, choosing from a walking tour with a local guide or a visit to the Fisheries Museum. This afternoon, spend time at leisure in the quintessential Nova Scotian village of Peggy’s Cove, where an iconic red and white striped lighthouse and colourful clapboard cottages pose for many a photograph. Return to Halifax and enjoy dinner at your hotel this evening. Breakfast and dinner included.

Accommodation

Begin the day with breakfast at your hotel before setting off for a guided visit to the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21 – Canada’s version of Ellis Island – where poignant personal stories bring to life the experiences of more than one million immigrants who arrived in Halifax by sea. Then, travel across scenic Nova Scotia en route to Caribou for a midday lunch and your ferry crossing to Prince Edward Island. The journey across the Northumberland Strait offers a chance to enjoy sea breezes and views of PEI’s red shores drawing closer on the horizon. Upon arrival at Wood Islands, continue on to Charlottetown, where you’ll settle in for the evening at your ideally located hotel near the waterfront. Dinner is at your leisure tonight, with time to relax and take in the charms of this historic island capital. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Accommodation

A full day of natural beauty, culinary delights, and literary heritage begins after breakfast with a visit to Prince Edward Island National Park, where red cliffs, sandy beaches, and sweeping views of North Rustico Harbor create an unforgettable coastal setting. Stroll along the trails and take in the fresh sea air – you never know when the sounds of a bagpipe will drift through the breeze. Then, step into the world of Anne of Green Gables during a self-guided visit to Green Gables Heritage Place, where you can walk the grounds that inspired L.M. Montgomery’s beloved story. Lunch today is at the Prince Edward Island Preserve Company, nestled along the River Clyde and known for its locally made preserves and warm island hospitality. This afternoon, enjoy a private visit to Raspberry Point Oyster Co., where you’ll learn how these famed oysters are cultivated and enjoy a tasting with scenic views. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy in Charlottetown. Breakfast and lunch included.

Accommodation

After breakfast at your hotel, set out along New Brunswick’s Acadian coast for a flavourful highlight of your journey – a private lobster cruise on Shediac Bay, widely known as the “Lobster Capital of the World.” Aboard your boat, enjoy scenic views of the shoreline while learning about local fishing traditions, sustainable harvesting techniques, and the life cycle of Atlantic lobster from an expert guide. Then, roll up your sleeves and dig into a fresh, locally caught lobster lunch – served the Maritime way. It’s a hands-on, uniquely regional experience that’s both delicious and unforgettable. After disembarking, return to Moncton with time to relax before dinner at your leisure this evening. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Accommodation

Today is all about experiencing the powerful natural forces that have shaped New Brunswick’s unforgettable coastal landscapes. After breakfast, journey to Hopewell Rocks Provincial Park, where the world’s highest tides have carved towering rock formations – known as “flowerpots” – along the Bay of Fundy. A local guide leads your walk among these sculpted giants, revealing how time and tide have created this geological marvel. Continue to the scenic Fundy Trail Parkway, a coastal drive that winds through pristine wilderness and offers panoramic viewpoints, dramatic sea cliffs, and opportunities to stop and explore along the way. This ribbon of road is a testament to thoughtful environmental preservation, offering access to one of the last undeveloped stretches of coastline in North America. Late afternoon, arrive in the charming seaside town of St. Andrews and settle in at your historic resort before dinner at your leisure. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Accommodation

Wake to the salt-kissed air of St. Andrews by-the-Sea and enjoy breakfast at your leisure before choosing how you’d like to spend your day in this seaside haven. You may wish to set out on a whale watching cruise, where the cool waters of the Bay of Fundy are home to minke, finback, and humpback whales – along with porpoises and seabirds that often join the show. Or, explore the fascinating tidal access to Ministers Island, where grand architecture and sweeping coastal paths reveal stories of Canada’s railway legacy and coastal life. Or simply linger in town, browsing artisan shops, galleries, and gardens. However you choose to spend the day, return to your resort this evening for a Tauck-exclusive “Land and Sea” lobster boil – served buffet-style and brimming with local flavour, featuring freshly caught lobster, regional specialties, and classic Maritime hospitality. Truly, the best of this maritime world beneath the stars. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Accommodation

This morning, set out for a unique culinary and cultural experience at the Acadian Sturgeon & Caviar Academy, where you’ll discover the story behind one of Canada’s rarest delicacies. Gain insight into the art of sustainable sturgeon farming, explore the fascinating process of caviar production, and enjoy tastings that highlight the refined flavor and heritage of this centuries-old tradition. Following your masterclass, travel to the ferry terminal in Saint John to board the vessel bound for Nova Scotia, cruising across the Bay of Fundy to the shores of Digby. Keep watch for seabirds and dramatic coastlines as you relax onboard during the crossing. Once ashore, continue your journey inland through the scenic Annapolis Valley, arriving in Wolfville in time for dinner at your countryside inn. Nestled among orchards and vineyards, your accommodations offer a tranquil retreat to end a day rich with flavour, learning, and sweeping coastal views. And from the inn’s hillside perch, the views across the valley to the Bay are nothing short of spectacular. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Begin your day in the heart of Nova Scotia’s wine country with a visit to Grand-Pré National Historic Site, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that honors the history and resilience of the Acadian people. Established in the 17th century by French settlers, Grand-Pré was once the heart of Acadian life in the region – until the British expulsion of 1755 scattered families across North America. Today, its sweeping fields and evocative memorials tell a deeply moving story of perseverance and cultural identity. Just down the road, step into one of the valley’s acclaimed vineyards for a tasting that showcases the distinctive terroir and cool-climate varietals this region is known for. Later, enjoy free time in the charming university town of Wolfville, where cafés, galleries, and shops reflect the laid-back energy of this vibrant community. This evening, raise a glass at a Tauck-exclusive farewell reception and dinner at your countryside inn – where the flavours of Nova Scotia and the sounds of local musicians set the tone for an evening of heartfelt goodbyes and shared reflections on the journey behind you. Breakfast and dinner included.

Depart this morning and return to Halifax; travel along one of the most scenic drives in North America, stopping en route in Lake Charlotte to visit a general store that takes you back in time. Breakfast included.
