Boston is America’s ‘’walking city’’ and that, combined with the fact that it has an excellent public transport system means it’s easy to get around so you don’t need to hire a car whilst you’re staying here.
It’s a modern, vibrant city which is rich in culture and history so you’ll need plenty of time to see evrything there is to see. Enjoy walking the famous Freedom Trail, which is 2.5 miles in length, with 12 of its 16 sites located within a mile of one another. Another good walking route is the Black Heritage Trail, although there are a few hills to climb in the Beacon Hill area. The subway system in the city is easy to use and a great way to travel around to get to places like Harvard University, Fenway Park, Sam Adams Brewery and the John F Kennedy Presidential Library & Museum.
