Depart the UK on your chosen scheduled flight to Nashville, Tennessee. Upon arrival, transfer independently to Tempo by Hilton, located in the heart of downtown, one block from Broadway and a five minute stroll to both Ryman Auditorium and the Country Music Hall of Fame.
You have a full two days to explore the delights of this city – the home of Country Music. Whilst in town, you’ll want to explore some of its musical attractions, such as the Country Music Hall of Fame, Johnny Cash Museum and Ryman Theatre, before sampling some live music in one of the many honky tonks on Lower Broadway – locally known as the Honky Tonk Highway! Although music plays a huge part in Nashville’s culture, there is much more to explore in the city. Make sure to head down to the water and perhaps enjoy a cruise on the river. Then, for a very different ambiance, Nashville’s newest district Fifth + Broadway offers a vibrant shopping, dining and entertainemnt district which is worth checking out.
Today you’ll take a Vonlane bus transfer across the state, to Memphis. Here you can immerse yourself in the city renowned as the home of the blues and the birthplace of rock ‘n’ roll. We’ve allowed three days for you to experience Memphis, as there is so much for you to explore. Of course, no visit to Memphis is complete without touring Elvis’s home of Graceland, and the Elvis museums and exhibits which surround it. In addition, don’t miss a tour of Sun Studio’s, and visits to the Stax Museum of American Soul Music, Smithsonian’s Rock ‘n’ Soul Museum and Gibson Guitar Factory. Dining is wonderful in Memphis, with a wide range of culinary options to tempt your taste buds.
Today begins early as you make your way to the Amtrak train for the final leg of your journey to the vibrant, culturally rich, and historic city of New Orleans. It is affectionately known as ‘The Big Easy’, as it’s a wonderful city with plenty to keep you entertained. Stroll along the narrow streets, enjoy a typical Creole meal or perhaps a spot of jazz in the renowned French Quarter where your hotel is located. During your stay, make sure you ride the famed ‘Streetcar named Desire’, walk through the historic garden district and take a paddle wheeler cruise along the Mississippi River.
After breakfast, you’ll independently make your way to New Orleans International Airport for your flight back to the UK. Alternatively, you may choose to extend your stay in New Orleans.
