Discover the heart of American cruising, where rich history meets the scenic beauty of the nation’s waterways. Intimate, small ships deliver a refined yet relaxed sailing experience, paired with warm, personalised service as you uncover the hidden gems of the USA.
Founded in 1972, American Cruise Lines specialises in small-ship cruising with distinctive itineraries across 35 states, operating a diverse fleet of 19 vessels. Committed to sustainable and responsible tourism, the line meets stringent environmental standards, invests in fuel-efficient ship design and advanced wastewater treatment, and limits ships to under 200 guests, allowing respectful access to smaller communities while minimising environmental impact.
On all itineraries, they offer guests an all-inclusive, value-added travel experience to the best destinations in Alaska, the Pacific Northwest, Mississippi River region, New England and the Southeast. After boarding any of the fleet of small coastal ships, American riverboats, and traditional paddle-wheelers, you can relax, knowing all the following are included:
After a day of discovery, relax in your spacious sanctuary, your home away from home. They offer generous sized staterooms, many of which are the largest in the industry, averaging 300 square feet (ranging from 250 to 650 square feet). Each has an interior entrance allowing for unobstructed outside views of the breathtaking scenery.
Full-length sliding glass doors lead out to a private balcony complete with table and chairs, the perfect place to enjoy drinks and meals, or watch the setting sun as you cruise America’s rivers. Each room has a large bathroom, wardrobe, ample drawer storage, under bed suitcase storage, large LED televisions, seating area, writing desk, and complimentary Wi-Fi.
A team of Master Chefs takes great pride in offering you a customized American-inspired menu, featuring the finest cuisine, tailored with a delightful regional twist. Each menu offers something for everyone and changes to complement the season and the region in which guests are travelling.
Chefs are encouraged to use locally grown, sustainable ingredients to masterfully create regionally inspired, exquisite cuisine. Fresh foods are brought aboard daily, some from the farms and vineyards are visited along the way.
