As it winds its way 202km (125 miles) from Ottawa to Kingston, the Rideau Canal is bursting with new experiences just waiting to be explored. Whether you like taking in abundant nature, discovering fascinating culture or simply indulging in some of the finer things – the Rideau Canal has something for you!
With a variety of rental options in terms of boat sizes (From 2 people to 10 people can be accommodated on the boats) and length of hire, you can tailor your own itinerary and cruise along at whatever pace you like.
Boat options
Horizon: Sleeps up to 4 in 2 cabins and 1 bathroom; boat size 11 m × 4 m; 1 large forward cabin with convertible double bed, 1 small cabin for 2 passengers or storage; bathroom with separate shower; large stateroom, backyard outside area, and fully equipped sundeck.
Horizon 2S: Sleeps up to 5 in 2 cabins with 2 ensuite bathrooms; boat size 11.5 m × 4.2 m; 1 large forward cabin with convertible double bed, 1 small cabin for 2, large stateroom with convertible settee (sleeps 1); rear outside seating area and large sundeck.
Horizon 3: Sleeps up to 8 in 3 cabins with 3 bathrooms; boat size 13.5 m × 4.3 m; 2 cabins with ensuite bathrooms, large stateroom with convertible settee (sleeps 1); rear outside seating area and large sundeck.
Horizon 4: Sleeps up to 10 in 4 cabins with 4 bathrooms; boat size 13.5 m × 4.3 m; 2 double cabins at the front, 2 side cabins with convertible double/twin beds, all ensuite; large stateroom with convertible settee (sleeps 2); rear outside seating area and large sundeck.
