CMH Heli-Hiking Adventures

Widely regarded as the ultimate outdoor experience, a heli-hiking adventure envelops you in pristine wilderness. Choose a three night experience staying at Bugaboo Lodge, Bobbie Burns Lodge or Cariboo’s Lodge; unique, rustic lodges nestled in a remote locations west of Banff. A six night combination of 3 nights in each Bugaboo Lodge & Bobbie Burns Lodge is also available. A helicopter flight takes you high into the Columbia Mountain Range over lakes, glaciers, meadows and forests to commence your daily hike in the safe supervision of a dedicated and professional guide. Choose a classic hike, a high-flying adventure or a specially designed family experience.

Duration: 3 or 6 nights

Each experience is handcrafted to the guest’s specific needs and expectations, offering a unique, personalised service. These three night experiences stay at the Bugaboo Lodge, a lodge nestled in a remote location 180km west of Banff, Bobbie Burns Lodge situated 194km west of Banff or Cariboo’s Lodge a new option for 2018 and onwards. . A helicopter flight takes you high into the Columbia Mountain Range over lakes, glaciers, meadows and forests to commence your daily hike in the safe supervision of a dedicated and professional guide. A six night experience as well as specially designed ‘family adventure’ dates is also available.

BUGABOO LODGE:
After your day hiking above deep valleys, gazing over brilliant white and blue glaciers and soaking up 360 degrees of alpine paradise, a short heli-flight back allows you to end the day in true comfort. Nestled in the shadows of the world-famous Bugaboo Spires, this lodge sits at a commanding 1,500 metres (4,920 feet) of elevation.

BOBBIE BURNS LODGE:
Whether your days are filled with an exhilarating excursion to Mt. Nimbus, getting up-close and personal with the Conrad Glacier or a relaxing wander past an alpine lake – you’ll finish with a helicopter ride and relax and unwind at your base-camp for adventure – the Bobbie Burns Lodge.

CARIBOO LODGE:
After spending the day with your guided group exploring a small piece of  the massive 1,489 square kilometers of rarely visited high country, bask in the afternoon sun, soaking in the views of the stunning Canoe Glacier.
