Depart the UK on your chosen scheduled flight to Vancouver. Upon arrival, collect your rental car and proceed to your hotel.
Often ranked as one of the best cities in the world, you’re sure to enjoy exploring Vancouver. Covering over a thousand acres you may want to spend some time in Stanley Park, visiting the various gardens and perhaps taking a horse drawn carriage ride. Stroll historic Gastown, boasting a variety of boutique shops and excellent dining.
Today you take the short but scenic drive along the beautiful Sea to Sky Highway. Widely regarded as one of the most scenic road trips in the world, highlights include the majestic Howe Sound and Shannon Falls. Whistler is a fabulous place to visit. We suggest a horse riding trip and zip-lining, both exhilarating experiences.
Travel north from Whistler to the town of Clearwater, located on the edge of Wells Gray Provincial Park. The park features 39 waterfalls, including the stunning Helmcken Falls, the fourth tallest in Canada. The abundance of wildlife in the park includes bears, moose, deer, wolves and over 250 species of birds.
Some of the most stunning scenery imaginable is your backdrop today as you journey through the Rocky Mountains to Jasper. Why not take a tram up Whistler Mountain or take a trip to Maligne Lake, which is one of the most photographed lakes in the world. Don’t miss the stunning sunset at Pyramid Lake.
Your journey from Jasper to Lake Louise takes you through the heart of the sensational Rocky Mountains. As you head south along the Icefield Parkway, stop at the Columbia Icefield and venture out onto the Athabasca Glacier on one of the Ice Explorer vehicles. Lake Louise is filled with recreational opportunities, from hiking and mountain biking in summer to skiing and snowshoeing in winter.
Today’s short drive takes you through the awe inspiring Yoho National Park to the Kootenay Valley. Located on the shores of the warmest lake in the valley, Invermere is known for relaxation. Perhaps visit one of the numerous beaches on the lakeside or soak in a mineral pool at one of the nearby hot springs. Golfers are spoilt with a choice of no fewer than nine golf courses, which combine to create the Columbia Valley Golf Trail.
Sightseeing in the Kootenay Rockies Region
Due to its unique climate, Okanagan Valley is Canada’s second largest wine producing region, so visiting a selection of the area’s world-renowned vineyards and picturesque orchards is a must.
Sightseeing in the Thompson Okanagan Region
Known as Canada’s ‘Pocket Desert’, due to it boasting the warmest average temperatures in the country, Osoyoos is the perfect place to sit back and relax. Osoyoos Lake offers vast lengths of beach and a variety of water sports, from boating to wakeboarding. There are also many vineyards in the area.
Sightseeing in the Thompson Okanagan Region
Your journey today takes you west along the Coquihalla Highway. En route, you may wish to stop at one of the many roadside stalls selling fresh cherries, apples, apricots, pears, peaches and grapes, all grown in the local region. Cross the spectacular Dry Gulch Bridge, which is over 280 metres long and 180 metres high.
Today you return your rental car at Vancouver International Airport and check-in for your flight back to the UK.
