Today you depart Salt Lake City and head south to Moab. Join a jet boat trip or daily float on the Colorado River or explore red rock canyons and formations by foot, bike, jeep or horse. The recreational opportunities are endless. Moab is also known as the gateway to Arches National Park. Delicate natural sandstone arches and impossibly balanced rocks are among the amazing geological features at Arches, home to the world’s largest concentration of naturally formed rock arches, including one of Utah’s most iconic images, Delicate Arch.

This morning take a small detour to visit Canyonlands National Park. The rivers divide the park into four districts: the Island in the Sky, the Needles, the Maze and the rivers themselves. From there depart for the “Trail of the Ancients” with stops at Newspaper Rock and the Edge of the Cedars State Park Museum, home to the largest collection of Ancestral Puebloan pottery in the Four Corners Region. If you wish to continue your Navajo experience, enjoy a jeep tour of Monument Valley; a vast open desert region and the setting for more Western movies than any other site in the world.
