The pretty lobby greets you with a river-rock fireplace, and a high pine-beamed ceiling, bringing nature indoors and retaining the properties history. Designed to take advantage of the outstanding vistas, each of the 72 guestrooms and suites has a sea or mountain view. Accommodations in the Main Lodge have one king or two queen beds, are air conditioned, have televisions, blackout curtains and comfortable bedding. The Blue Heron and Thunderbird suites are tucked under the eaves of the Main Lodge on the third floor, and offer premium views of the Tongass Narrows. These suites include a bedroom with standard king bed and a seperate large living area with a sofa-bed couch. Their large bathrooms offer a spa tub. There are also three detached lodges which provide premium water views of the Tongass Narrows. The Raven, Bear, and Eagle Lodges are tastefully adorned with native art and offer with every amenity you could want.
Cape Fox Lodge is tucked into the hillside on the edge of the Tongass National Forest, among broad stands of spruce, hemlock, and cedar. Its breathtaking views of 'Alaska's First City' draw visitors from across the globe. Located on a mountainside, accessed by a scenic tram ride which runs between the Lodge and Creek Street below. There is also a complimentary shuttle bus, providing transportation to the airport ferry terminal.
