Milwaukee, on the southeast shores of Lake Michigan, is the state’s largest city. Once known primarily as a beer-making town, Milwaukee today has only one major brewer – Miller. However, the “city of beer” still has numerous taverns, bars, and microbreweries.

Another highlight not to be missed is the artsy Third Ward, a restored warehouse that is now a National Historic Landmark featuring terrific dining, a lively nightlife scene, art galleries, and antique shops.

Visit the outstanding Milwaukee County Zoo, the Midwest Express Centre and the Milwaukee Public Museum, one of the nations finest. Also, why not take a trip to the Harley Davidson museum, over 100 years in the making which is located in downtown Milwaukee. In Madison, explore State Street, a lively section of downtown that links Capitol Square to the University of Wisconsin Campus. This vibrant area is home to more than 1,500 businesses – from fashion and jewellery boutiques to pubs and farm-to-table restaurants – plus impressive museums and theatres, so there’s sure to be something for everyone in your group to enjoy.

In Door County, you will be enchanted by many quaint coastal towns full of unique shops. This picturesque peninsula is famous for its local artisans and crafters. Explore the eclectic art galleries, where you’ll find intricate sculptures, vibrant paintings, and handcrafted ceramics.  Wisconsin is also home to many smaller cities with charming downtowns full of shopping surprises. Lake Geneva is a short drive from Milwaukee and boasts a delightful downtown full of speciality stores offering handmade art, home décor, antiques and more.
