If you like to hike, both the Long Trail and the Appalachian Trail go through Killington. The Long Trail is the oldest long-distance trail in the United States. Its 270-mile footpath follows the ridge of the Green Mountains from the Massachusetts border to the Canadian border and offers endless hiking opportunities. The Appalachian Trail is a scenic 2,175 national trail that runs from Georgia to Maine. Killington is home to some of the most scenic areas of this trail--one being Thundering Falls.
