Set in the calm waters of Plymouth Harbour along Cape Cod Bay is Plymouth, “America’s Hometown” which was the site of the colony founded in 1620 by the Pilgrims Fathers who arrived on the Mayflower.

Pilgrim Memorial State Park is one of the most visited parks to visit « The Rock » and the town where we first made a home in New England in 1620. In the summer months visit the Mayflower II, the replica of the ship that carried the Pilgrim Fathers to the New World. On board, you will meet role players in period costume who share their personal accounts of shipboard life, as they play the part of sailors or Mayflower passengers. Pilgrim Hall Museum, built in 1824, offers a chance to touch an authentic piece of Plymouth Rock and view actual 17th century Pilgrim possessions.

After your historical tour, relax on the beach or take a whale and dolphin watching tour. Enjoy kayaking and canoeing, take a boat trip, have a round of golf or hike or bike on one of the many trails.

Plymouth’s downtown is full of life with restaurants, cafes, boutiques, galleries, gift shops, and spectacular sea captain’s homes. Be sure to taste the wonderful fresh lobster and seafood dishes while you are there.
