Victor, the southernmost town in Teton Valley, sits close to the Wyoming border, at the base of Teton Pass. The largest town in Teton Valley, home to 2,500 year-round residents, its lively Main Street is dotted with restaurants, hotels and shops. Surrounded by wide-open space, it provides easy access to world-renowned hiking and backcountry adventures. Victor was named in honor of George Victor Sherwood, a postal carrier in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s, known for delivering mail by ski or horseback over the Teton Pass to Jackson Hole, an arduous journey lasting several days through dangerous stretches of Indian territory.

Stroll Main Street and hit the shops, grab a milkshake at the Emporium, or stop for a bite to eat at one of several fantastic restaurants. In the winter, explore cross-country trails or catch a hockey tournament and hit the ice during open skate at Teton Valley Foundation’s Kotler Ice Arena. Tucked away north of town, check out the growing Victor Makers’ District featuring artisan knife creators, local ski and snowboard makers, and a celebrated new cidery, High Point Cider. Grand Teton Brewing and Wildlife Brewing are also worth a visit. Victor has ample character and charm packed into this small-town worthy of exploring.
