Manitoulin Island

Manitoulin Island, known in Ojibway as ‘Spirit Island’, is a very special place nestled in the heart of the Great Lakes and holds the distinction of being the world’s largest freshwater island. The island is home to four main rivers, the Kagawong, Manitou, Blue Jay Creek, and Mindemoya, which provide important spawning grounds for trout and salmon. Accessible year-round via the MS Chi-Cheemaun passenger ferry, which runs daily from late May to early October, Manitoulin offers a wealth of activities for visitors, from boating and guided canoe tours to hiking to Bridal Veil Falls and fishing in its pristine waters.

Tobermory

Located at the top of the Bruce Peninsula, Tobermory is a picturesque lakeside town surrounded by crystal-clear waters and home to Flowerpot Island as well as two national parks. The dramatic cliffs of the Niagara Escarpment create a stunning backdrop for some of the region’s most breathtaking vistas. Visitors can enjoy a wide range of activities, from cruising to Flowerpot Island, diving and snorkelling, hiking the Bruce Trail, exploring shipwrecks, and kayaking or canoeing, to simply relaxing and watching a perfect sunset over the pristine waters.

Killarney

Timmins

Located in northeast Ontario, Timmins is about three hours north of Sudbury and less than two hours from the Quebec border.
