Cambridge

Located just one and a half hours from Toronto in Grand River Country, Cambridge boasts over 80 parks, and its Farmers Market is rated among the best in Canada. Originally made up of the city of Galt, the Towns of Hespeler and Preston, and parts of Waterloo and North Dumfries, modern Cambridge reflects a rich history visible in its diverse architecture, from Gothic Revival and Romanesque Revival to Second Empire styles.

Today, Cambridge is a bustling, cosmopolitan city offering world-class shopping and dining alongside unique experiences. Visitors can explore the African Lion Safari and Butterfly Conservatory, enjoy nature at Shade’s Mills Park with swimming, fishing, and canoeing, or attend festivals and events at Mill Race Park’s stone amphitheatre. For the arts, the Hamilton Family Theatre provides a state-of-the-art venue with exceptional acoustics and an intimate performance space.

London

Located along the Thames River, London is the largest municipality in southwestern Ontario, nestled between Lake Huron and Lake Erie. Originally intended to be the capital of northern Canada, it has grown into the ‘Forest City,’ known for its festivals, museums, and parks. Attractions include Labatt Brewery, Fanshawe Pioneer Village, and the music festival SunFest, while its beautiful nature trails and parks, including the 110 km Thames Valley Trail, offer opportunities for hiking and outdoor exploration.

London also offers a mix of urban and family-friendly experiences. Storybook Gardens provides amusement rides, play areas, and a giant splash pad for children, while Covent Market, operating since 1845, offers fresh produce, specialty stores, restaurants, and biweekly local farmers’ goods. With its combination of culture, nature, and culinary delights, London has something for every visitor.

Port Stanley

Port Stanley is a historic working fishing and tourist village on the north shore of Lake Erie, best known for its stunning beach at the mouth of Kettle Creek. The beach is one of only 27 in Canada to earn Blue Flag status for its water quality, environmental responsibility, and safety measures, making it a top destination for sun and sand lovers.

A short walk into town leads to ice cream parlours, boutiques, antique shops, and eateries, while the picturesque marina, lighthouse, and piers give the village a charming, storybook feel. Families can enjoy Great Lakes Farms with apple picking, a giant climbable pirate ship, zip line, corn maze, straw mountain, and weekend tractor rides, along with a chance to purchase apples and other local products.
