City & Goldfields – Summer Tour

This is the ideal tour for anyone who is looking to learn about the Klondike Goldrush and modern-day mining. Included is a visit to Claim 33 to try your hand at panning. After a hotel pick up, you will take a tour of Dawson City, the Goldfield, and the Midnight Dome! The little town is full of colorful, crooked buildings and Canadian National Historic Sites. You will drive past century-old banks, government buildings, and even older brothels! After a tour of the town, you will visit Discovery Claim (where gold was first found in the Klondike) and impressive Dredge No.4. Finally, should weather permit, you will make your way up to the Midnight Dome, Dawsons highest point, to take in a view of the city and the surrounding scenery.
