Accommodation

282 Miles / 454 Kilometres

Today, your adventure begins as you make your way to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, a charming mountain town surrounded by the spectacular scenery of the Teton Range. Renowned for its authentic Western atmosphere, Jackson Hole is the perfect base from which to explore both Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. During your stay, take time to wander around the famous Town Square with its iconic elk antler arches, browse the independent boutiques, art galleries and local shops, or enjoy the town’s excellent restaurants and lively atmosphere. You may also wish to take a scenic ride on the Jackson Hole Aerial Tram for breathtaking mountain views, visit the National Museum of Wildlife Art, experience a wildlife safari, or enjoy the many outdoor activities available, from hiking and rafting to horseback riding.

Accommodation

99 Miles / 159 Kilometres

Leaving Jackson Hole behind, enjoy a spectacular drive north through the magnificent landscapes of Grand Teton National Park, where jagged mountain peaks, pristine lakes and abundant wildlife create one of America’s most scenic journeys. Continue into Yellowstone National Park, the world’s first national park, arriving in the Old Faithful area, home to one of Yellowstone’s most famous geothermal wonders. During your stay, you’ll have plenty of time to witness the iconic Old Faithful erupt, explore the fascinating boardwalks around the Upper Geyser Basin, discover colourful hot springs and bubbling mud pots, and keep an eye out for bison, elk and other wildlife. With easy access to many of Yellowstone’s highlights, this is the perfect base from which to experience the park’s extraordinary geothermal landscapes and natural beauty.

Accommodation

38 Miles / 61 Kilometres

Continue deeper into Yellowstone National Park as you journey to the beautiful Lake Yellowstone area, home to North America’s largest high-altitude lake. Surrounded by forests, mountains and unspoilt wilderness, this peaceful setting provides an ideal base for exploring the park’s diverse landscapes and abundant wildlife. During your stay, discover the dramatic colours of the Grand Prismatic Spring, admire the spectacular waterfalls and canyon views at Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, and visit the bubbling geothermal features at West Thumb Geyser Basin, located on the shores of the lake. You may also wish to enjoy a scenic lakeside walk, take a boat tour, or simply relax and soak up the tranquillity of one of Yellowstone’s most picturesque locations while watching for bison, bears, elk and bald eagles.

Today, continue north through Yellowstone National Park to the historic gateway town of Gardiner, located just outside the park’s North Entrance beneath the iconic Roosevelt Arch. This area is renowned for its incredible wildlife viewing, particularly in the nearby Lamar Valley, often referred to as America’s Serengeti. During your stay, you may spot wolves, grizzly and black bears, bison, elk, pronghorn, bighorn sheep, coyotes and bald eagles in their natural habitat, especially during the early morning and evening hours. You will also have time to explore the unique geothermal landscapes of the park’s northern region, visit the colourful terraces of Mammoth Hot Springs, or simply relax in Gardiner’s welcoming Western atmosphere while reflecting on your unforgettable Yellowstone adventure.

Your journey concludes with a scenic drive to Bozeman, a vibrant mountain town nestled in the picturesque Gallatin Valley. Blending a rich Western heritage with a lively downtown atmosphere, Bozeman offers the perfect finale to your Yellowstone adventure. Spend your time exploring the independent boutiques, art galleries, breweries and excellent restaurants along historic Main Street, or visit the renowned Museum of the Rockies, home to one of the world’s finest collections of dinosaur fossils. If time allows, enjoy the surrounding mountain scenery on one of the nearby walking trails or simply relax and reflect on the unforgettable landscapes, wildlife and experiences you’ve enjoyed throughout your journey before your onward travels.
