Depart the UK on your chosen scheduled flight to Memphis International Airport. Upon arrival, transfer independently to the Hyatt Centric Beale Street, your base for the three nights.
Immerse yourself in the city renowned as the home of the blues and the birthplace of rock ‘n’ roll. We’ve allowed three days for you to experience Memphis, as there is so much for you to explore. Of course, no visit to Memphis is complete without touring Elvis’s home of Graceland, and the Elvis museums and exhibits which surround it. In addition, don’t miss a tour of Sun Studio’s, and visits to the Stax Museum of American Soul Music, Smithsonian’s Rock ‘n’ Soul Museum and Gibson Guitar Factory. Dining is wonderful in Memphis, with a wide range of culinary options to tempt your taste buds.
Collect your rental car and depart Memphis, heading from one musical city to another, Nashville, the home of country music. The next three days are yours at leisure to enjoy one of the most loved cities of the Deep South. While in town, explore its musical attractions, including the Country Music Hall of Fame, the Johnny Cash Museum, and the Ryman Theatre, before sampling live music in the many honky tonks along Lower Broadway, locally known as the Honky Tonk Highway. Although music plays a huge part in Nashville’s culture, there is much more to discover. Take time to head down to the river and perhaps enjoy a cruise, then visit Nashville’s newest district, Fifth + Broadway, a vibrant area for shopping, dining, and entertainment that is well worth exploring.
After your time in Nashville, you will depart for Bristol, nestled in the scenic Appalachian Mountains, where you will stay for the next two nights. This charming city, known as the ‘Birthplace of Country Music,’ offers a perfect blend of history, music, and natural beauty. While in Bristol, you can explore the Birthplace of Country Music Museum, stroll through its historic downtown streets, and enjoy the surrounding mountains with hiking, scenic drives, or simply taking in the peaceful Appalachian scenery.
Next, you will travel to Pigeon Forge, the gateway to the Great Smoky Mountains, where you will spend time exploring this vibrant mountain town. Famous for its lively entertainment, family-friendly attractions, and local crafts, Pigeon Forge also offers easy access to the natural beauty of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Take in scenic drives, enjoy outdoor adventures, or simply relax and soak up the mountain atmosphere while experiencing the unique charm of this beloved destination.
From Pigeon Forge, you will travel to Chattanooga, a vibrant city on the banks of the Tennessee River. Known for its mix of outdoor adventures and urban attractions, Chattanooga offers something for every traveller. Explore the Tennessee Aquarium, stroll along the scenic riverfront, or take a ride on the famous Incline Railway for sweeping views of the city and surrounding mountains. With its lively arts scene, historic sites, and beautiful natural surroundings, Chattanooga is the perfect place to enjoy both culture and adventure.
Your journey concludes in Florence , where the rich musical heritage of the Shoals awaits.
