Quebec is a magical destination whenever you visit, but winter has a special charm. Historic towns with cobbled streets sparkle like a snowglobe scene and spellbinding winter landscapes crunch underfoot. This three-centre includes overnights in Quebec City, a lodge on the shores of Lake Sacacome and the Ice Hotel! This itinerary also includes:
Depart the UK on your scheduled flight to Quebec City. Upon arrival, make your way to Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac, one of the most iconic hotels in Quebec City and your base for the first two nights. Renowned as one of the most romantic destinations in Canada, cobbled streets lined by quaint shops, small eateries serving delectable French cuisine and green parks filled with historic attractions, fill your days with warmth and charm. We have included a half day dog sledding experience, where you will feel at one with nature as you speed through the snow.
A stay at the Ice Hotel is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, which is on many peoples bucket lists. Due to the hotels short life, whilst the temperature sustains its structure, and its relatively small size, very few will ever have the opportunity to stay at the Ice Hotel, but those who do delight in the unique experience. We have included a guided tour and a cocktail reception so you make the most of your stay.
You’ll follow the meandering St. Lawrence River south west, passing through Cap-de-la-Madeline, toward St-Alexis-Des-Monts where your accommodation for the next three nights sits adjacent to Mastigouche Wildlife Reserve. Hotel Sacacomie is located on Lake Sacacomie, resting serenely under the beautiful forest canopy. Daytime activities abound, so the GEO Spa package which is included is a welcome treat at the end of a busy day.
Make the short drive back to Quebec City Airport, where you return your car rental car and check-in for your flight back to the UK.
