The Calgary Stampede is an event which has to be experienced to be believed. This annual rodeo and festival is held in Calgary between the 3rd and 12th July 2026, and this fabulous package gives you two days immersed in this cowboy playground. An additional stay in Banff, with two sightseeing tours and coach transfers included, ensures you also get a taster of the idyllic Rocky Mountains.
Depart the UK on your chosen scheduled flight to Calgary. Upon arrival, transfer independently to The Westley Hotel, where you will spend your first three nights of your Alberta adventure. Enjoy an evening at leisure, perhaps taking in a meal at one of Calgary’s many excellent restaurants.
You have a two day ticket to enjoy “The Greatest Show on Earth”! The Calgary Stampede is a grand annual celebration of Western Canada’s rich cultural heritage, taking place over ten days in July and attracting over a million visitors each year from across the globe. Visitors to the Stampede are treated to a spectacular range of attractions and events, the heart of which is the world-class rodeo, featuring competitions in bull riding, barrel racing, steer wrestling, and more. Witness the thrills of chuckwagon racing, an exhilarating spectacle that has its roots in the Old West. The Calgary Stampede is more than just a rodeo; it encompasses a myriad of attractions, including live music performances, agriculture showcases, First Nations exhibitions, and a grand midway filled with carnival rides and games. Sample hearty western foods and savor the culinary delights at the many food stalls. The Stampede also incorporates a vast array of family-friendly activities, such as petting zoos, interactive agricultural exhibits, and entertaining shows, ensuring fun for all ages. The nightly Grandstand Show is a mustsee, culminating in an impressive fireworks display. greeting. Come to celebrate the authentic Wild West spirit, the vitality of contemporary Calgary, and a unique Canadian tradition that’s been going strong for over a century.
Leaving Calgary and big city entertainment behind, you’ll take a Brewster coach transfer into the Rocky Mountains, for a completely different experience of stunning vistas and a peaceful, laid-back atmosphere. Check in to the Royal Canadian Lodge, wonderfully positioned on the outskirts of town, where you will spend the next four nights in an outdoor paradise.
Banff is located on the edge of Banff National Park, famous for its stunning turquoise lakes and dramatic mountain scenery, and renowned as the ultimate outdoor playground. We have included two sightseeing tours in this package to get you started. First you’ll enjoy a trip on the Banff Goldola. Deeparting from the base of Sulphur Mountain, you’ll ride this breathtaking ascent to its pinnacle for an awe-inspiring 360-degree panorama of sheer mountain majesty. Once there, you may choose to enjoy the interpretative hiking trails that meander along the ridge of the mountain. For your second excursion, you explore Moraine Lake and Lake Louise on a four hour sightseeing tour. These are two of Banff’s most breathtaking lakes, which will be reached on a comfortable sightseeing coach, including expert commentary from a local guide. Along the way, take in awe-inspiring mountain views, stroll the iconic shorelines, and capture unforgettable photos of these world-famous turquoise lakes.
You may have some time this morning for a last forray around the national park, or perhaps a spot of souvenir shopping in tow. We have included a coach transfer back from Banff to Calgary Airport, where you check in for your flight back to the UK.
