Accommodation

9 Miles / 14 Kilometres

With a further three nights in Vancouver, you have ample time to explore this spectacular Pacific city at a relaxed pace, framed by mountains and ocean and effortlessly blending cosmopolitan energy with breathtaking natural beauty. Wander or cycle the seawall around Stanley Park, browse the artisan stalls and waterfront eateries of Granville Island, immerse yourself in history and culture in vibrant Gastown, cross the treetops at Capilano Suspension Bridge, ride the gondola up Grouse Mountain, or take a scenic day trip along the Sea-to-Sky Highway towards Whistler. Evenings can be spent dining on fresh Pacific seafood, enjoying sunset views over English Bay, soaking up the city’s lively yet laid-back atmosphere, the perfect finale to your Canadian adventure.

Accommodation

Today you will head back to the airport for a short flight to Seattle. On arrival, make your way to the stylish Hyatt at Olive 8, your home for the next two nights. Perfectly located in the heart of the city, this contemporary retreat gives you time to unwind and begin exploring at your own pace before your Alaskan cruise. Wander down to the bustling waterfront at Pike Place Market, enjoy sweeping views from the Space Needle, or simply soak up Seattle’s vibrant dining and coffee scene as you ease into the next exciting chapter of your journey.

Accommodation

Today you will make your way to the Port of Seattle to board the elegant Oceania Riviera and begin your Alaskan adventure. Once on board, settle into your stateroom and take some time to explore the ship’s luxurious lounges, dining venues, and relaxing spaces. As the ship departs, enjoy the stunning views of the Seattle skyline and Elliott Bay, soak up the fresh sea air on deck, and start immersing yourself in the comfort and style that will carry you through your unforgettable cruise.

A day at sea on the Oceania Riviera is the perfect opportunity to relax and recharge. Start with a leisurely breakfast while taking in the endless ocean views, then enjoy a morning by the pool or a spa treatment. Explore the ship’s boutiques, attend a cooking demonstration or enrichment talk, and savour a gourmet lunch at one of the elegant restaurants. As evening approaches, unwind with a cocktail on deck, enjoy live entertainment, and dine at your leisure.

Your first port of call is Ketchikan, Alaska, often called the “Salmon Capital of the World.” Nestled among misty fjords and surrounded by lush rainforest, this charming town offers a mix of natural beauty and rich culture. Stroll along Creek Street, a historic boardwalk lined with galleries and shops, or explore the vibrant Totem Heritage Center to see beautifully preserved Native totem poles. For the adventurous, consider a wildlife or fishing excursion, a scenic floatplane tour, or a rainforest hike.

Next, you’ll arrive at Icy Strait Point, a stunning Alaskan port known for its dramatic scenery and authentic cultural experiences. Located on Chichagof Island, this former cannery has been transformed into a gateway for adventure, surrounded by pristine waters, towering mountains, and old-growth rainforest. Explore the Tlingit heritage at the Whale House Museum, take a thrilling zipline ride over the forest canopy, or join a wildlife excursion to spot whales, bears, and eagles in their natural habitat.

Next, your cruise brings you to Sitka, Alaska, a picturesque town where Russian and Tlingit heritage blend against a backdrop of mountains and sea. Wander through the charming streets to discover historic landmarks such as St. Michael’s Cathedral, or visit the Sitka National Historical Park to see towering totem poles and lush rainforest trails. Nature lovers can take a kayak trip, join a whale-watching excursion, or hike in the surrounding wilderness, while art and culture enthusiasts will enjoy galleries, museums, and local craft shops.

On your second day at sea, the Oceania Riviera invites you to relax and enjoy the ship’s many comforts. Begin the morning with breakfast while gazing out over the open waters, then spend time lounging by the pool, indulging in a spa treatment, or exploring the ship’s shops and galleries. Participate in an enrichment talk, culinary demonstration, or simply take a peaceful stroll on deck to feel the fresh ocean breeze.

Next, your Alaskan cruise brings you to Victoria, British Columbia, a charming city where colonial history meets stunning natural beauty. Stroll through the picturesque Inner Harbour, admire the grand architecture of the Fairmont Empress Hotel, or explore the vibrant shops and cafés downtown.

At the end of your cruise your ship will return to Seattle, Washington, where you’ll disembark and formally end your Alaskan journey. From here you’ll make your own way to the Grand Hyatt Hotel, in downtown Seattle, for one more night of relaxation before heading back to the UK tomorrow.

Accommodation
