Step outside your comfort zone with an unforgettable introduction to outdoor rock climbing. The four-hour Discover Climbing course offers a hands-on opportunity to climb real rock in a scenic and supportive environment—perfect for beginners. All necessary climbing equipment is provided and properly fitted before heading to Sylvan Lake, located approximately 12 minutes away (transportation not included). From there, a brief 10-minute hike leads to a world-class climbing area tucked behind the lake.

During the session, participants are introduced to the fundamentals of rock climbing, including movement techniques, rope safety, and belaying on top rope. In the unique granite terrain of the Black Hills, the emphasis is on balance, footwork, and confidence—no upper body strength or pull-ups required to enjoy the experience..
