Grand Bike Tour, Stanley Park, Granville Island & Vancouver
One of the most exciting ways to see a city is from the ground, and what better way to experience Vancouver than on a fully guided cycling tour? Cycle City Tours offers a choice of three small group tours (up to 12 riders per group), departing from two central downtown locations, each taking a different bike path.
The Grand Bicycle Tour
This tour offers an all-encompassing exploration of the city. It starts with a tour of world-famous Stanley Park, riding along the waterfront on the Seawall as well as exploring little-known forest trails where you’ll see old-growth trees, tons of wildlife, and unique rainforest plants. Then you’ll pass by English Bay and hop on a small ferry over Granville Island Public Market. Here you get a 45-minute break to find lunch at the market (on your own). Next, explore False Creek enjoying beautiful views of downtown framed by the North Shore Mountains. Get up-close with the future of “green Vancouver” at the Olympic Village complex and Science World. Finally, go back in time to check out Vancouver’s Chinatown including a visit to Dr. Sun Yat Sen Chinese Park and Gastown, learning about the city’s humble beginnings as a logging outpost and Gassy Jack’s pub. Frequent stops, photo-ops, and flat trails, and 95% riding on paths separated from traffic make this an enjoyable ride!
