    Day 01

    Arrive Boston

    Depart the UK on your chosen scheduled flight to Boston. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel, The Langham, Boston. Relax and enjoy the remainder of your day familiarising yourself with this wonderful walking city. This evening join your travelling companions for a welcome reception and dinner.

    Day 02

    Boston

    There’s so much to see this morning as you embark on an orientation tour of Boston, visiting Boston Common, Beacon Hill and the USS Constitution Museum. The remainder of the day is at your leisure. Walk the Freedom Trail, shop at famous Quincy Market or join a ‘Duck Tour’ to see the city from both land and water.

    Day 03

    Concord & Williamstown

    You’ll learn about the American Revolution today as you visit the battle sites of Lexington Green and Concord, before enjoying a traditional New England lunch in a restored 1705 colonial home. There’s time for a stop in historic Deerfield this afternoon before arriving at your hotel in Williamstown.

    Day 04

    Stockbridge & Williamstown

    Following breakfast you’ll enjoy a visit to the Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge, and Edith Wharton’s mansion in Lenox, best known as the author of The House of Mirth and The Age of Innocence. Continuing on to Williamstown you’ll tour the Clark Art Institute then have some free time to explore this historic area.

    Day 05

    Stowe

    Leaving Massachusetts, it is on to New England state. In Vermont, you’ll visit the Shelburne Museum of Art and Americana, spreading over 45 acres, before arriving in the picture postcard town of Stowe in the Green Mountains. Spend the afternoon exploring this classic New England town with its quaint shops and restaurants.

    Day 06

    Montpelier & Bretton Woods

    Following breakfast, this morning you’ll visit Vermont’s state capital; Montpelier, before learning how maple syrup is made at Morse Farm Maple Sugarworks. Continuing out of Vermont and into the White Mountains of New Hampshire, you’ll arrive at Bretton Woods, where you’ll spend the next two nights at the historic Omni Mount Washington Resort.

    Day 07

    White Mountains

    Get your camera ready today for magnificent views of Mount Washington. Next you embark on a fall foliage tour, winding down New England’s back roads seeing the fabulous crimson reds and orange leaves. Arriving back at your hotel you’ll enjoy a presentation on the local ecology and wildlife, before enjoying a sumptuous dinner.

    Day 08

    Portland & Brunswick

    Arriving in Portland, Maine, this morning you’ll have a hands-on experience in the lobster trade as a local lobsterman takes you into the harbour on his working boat. Back on land a guided tour will introduce you to the historic Old Port area of Portland, then, the afternoon is yours to explore and settle into your hotel before a fabulous dinner in a local lobster house.

    Day 09

    Bar Harbor

    Travelling up the rugged Maine coastline you’ll arrive at the historic town of Bar Harbor, where you’ll spend the next two nights in a luxury cliff-side inn. After lunch you’ll cruise the harbour aboard a traditional wooden schooner, experiencing the picturesque coves, islands, lighthouses and seaside cottages. The rest of the day is yours at leisure.

    Day 10

    Acadia National Park

    Today is all about scenery! You’ll visit Acadia National Park, where autumn colours cover the pristine forests, beaches, plunging cliffs and rock islands. A highlight is a horse-drawn carriage ride through the historic roadways within the park. Spend the remainder of the day relaxing in your hotel’s spa, or explore Bar Harbor’s charming shops, galleries and restaurants.

    Day 11

    Camden & Ogunquit

    Following lunch in Camden, it’s on to your final destination of Ogunquit, whose name translates to beautiful place by the sea. This evening you’ll share a farewell reception and dinner with your new-found friends.

    Day 12

    Journey Home

    After breakfast, it’s just a short journey to Boston Airport, where you check in for your flight back to the UK.
